ANCHORAGE, Sept. 25, 2018 — More than 100 Alaskans filled the Wilda Marston Theater in Anchorage tonight for a town hall meeting with gubernatorial candidate Mike Dunleavy to talk about their experiences with crime, how it’s changing the culture, and what policymakers can do about it.

“Tonight’s town hall meeting was about hearing from real Alaskans about how their lives have been affected by crime,” said Dunleavy. “It’s clear the people are ready for a new approach. With input from every day Alaskans, police, and prosecutors, my goal is to make Alaska a safer state for everyone. If given the opportunity to serve, that’s going to be priority number one of my administration.”

Tonight’s town hall meeting was the second in a series Dunleavy is planning to host across the state dealing with issues of concern to Alaskans.
