ANCHORAGE, Oct. 22, 2018 — Gubernatorial candidate Mike Dunleavy today received a key joint endorsement from Congressman Don Young and U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan.

“Mike Dunleavy will work closely with us to follow up on the policies we’ve achieved in Washington that benefit Alaska: opening ANWR; cutting taxes on Alaskan families, workers, and businesses; slashing job-killing regulations; repealing Obamacare’s unfair individual mandate; rebuilding our military; and getting Alaskans into top government positions in the Trump Administration,” said Young and Sullivan in a joint statement. “These victories have helped make Alaska’s economy poised for a comeback.”

“Mike Dunleavy fully supports these successful policies and will work alongside us to achieve more of them,” Young and Sullivan continued. “He will meet Alaska’s current challenges head-on. That is why we stand together in support of Mike Dunleavy as Alaska’s next Governor. We look forward to working with him to build a brighter future for Alaska.”

The endorsement follows a series of others for Dunleavy, including from the Public Safety Employees Union and the National Rifle Association.

“I am thrilled to earn the endorsement of Congressman Young and Senator Sullivan, two Alaskans who spend each and every day in the trenches fighting for our state,” said Dunleavy. “With the stars now aligned on the federal level, the missing link has been the state’s chief executive. Congressman Young and Senator Sullivan understand Alaska can’t afford four more years of failed leadership and failed policies from the governor’s office. As governor, I intend to work with our federal delegation to help Alaska achieve its true potential.”
